Azalea House is a studio cottage with a queen bed, full bathroom, and kitchen with electric range, fridge/freezer, microwave and Keurig. The cottage features a minisplit for heating and cooling, is on county water, and has blackout blinds on the windows and French doors. The home offers fast wifi and a smart TV in the living room so that guests can sign into their own streaming accounts. Azalea House has a covered porch, a propane grill, and a fire pit with Adirondack chairs.  Azalea House is located among a small collection of vacation rentals. The property has access to trails on Alabama state-owned land that lead to views of the Eastern side of DeSoto Falls. This state land is extremely private as most locals and visitors go to the access point across the falls. The property is bordered by the wooden Appalachian-style Mentone Wedding Chapel. Shady Grove Horse Ranch is also a neighbor -- contact them in advance if interested in scheduling a horse back ride to the Falls. Please note that access to the property is paved roads until the final 0.7 mile. The last section is a dirt road which has ruts in places. This should be accessible in most vehicles however we recommend driving slowly and using caution to navigate any ruts. Reach out to us if you have any questions.
